Gorbachev
Toots we discovered in an unfortunate way has very sensitive skin - her poor cheeks burnt in 30 minutes. Her parents mortified and vaguely stunned. So we are now bathing her in factor 50 when she is exposed to anything more powerful than a 50W lightbulb. Poor little Gorbachev.
Apart from the mishap, Tove is great. Zen like in her approach to the world and committed in her goal to slip away from parental supervision and ascend the stairs. She is stealthy and quite quick but she has yet to achieve her mission - but it is only a matter of time before she does it. At which point she will quiver with happiness.
However, Tove is trying to temper her happiness realising that if she only has one face to pull her power to manipulate and exert is limited. So alongside the myriad happy smiling faces, she is practicing a stern Tove face - one that means business. ONe that denotes her displeasure with something. SHe narrows her eyes and glares at you. A hard stare like Paddington. But alas, she is such a happy soul she can only sustain it for a few moments before collapsing into a smiles. She is not suited to sternness but she's not for turning.
Aside from this facial skullduggery, she remains unable to walk unaided. She pushes her pushchair or wooden trolley with gay abandon around the garden and house but once it has been removed she topples to the floor. On occasion she stays standing for a second before the lightest of breezes sends her tumbling to her nappy-clad bottom.
It can't be too much longer can it?
And yes she is very sweet.
